1.6 billion XRP moves by whales and exchanges for second straight day

Several leading digital exchanges and anonymous crypto-addresses have moved 1.686 billion XRP coins in the last twenty hours, according to data provided by Whale Alert and XRP analytics service Bithomp. This is the second day in a row that the aforementioned cryptocurrency tracking platform has detected more than a billion XRP coins transferred by major cryptocurrency players. As of this writing, XRP, ranked No. 7 on CoinMarketCap, is trading at $0.9196, trying to regain the $1 zone it briefly reached on Dec. 23.

Whale Alert distributed information about twenty-two XRP transfers, in which a total of 1.68 billion coins were transferred from various digital exchanges. Some of these XRPs were moved by anonymous digital wallets, according to Bithomp. Some transfers exceeded 100 million and 225 million XRPs. One was made by the leading Korean exchange Bithumb (103,000,020 XRP, equal to $100,014,220). The 225,110,200 XRP was moved between wallets marked as “unknown”. This is equivalent to $217,828,270. A transfer containing the same amount of cryptocurrency –225,110,160 XRP –was also made by an anonymous wallet to the Binance exchange. Binance then transferred 225,117,280 XRP to another anonymous wallet, but the Bithomp service showed that this was an internal transfer of cryptocurrency by an exchange run by CZ. The rest of the XRP transfers were made by FTX, Bitfinex, Binance again (acting as both sender and receiver), Bitstamp, Coinone and Bittrex.
