India does not yet ban cryptocurrencies, postponing controversial bill on cryptocurrencies

The Indian government is not yet ready to finally pass a sensational cryptocurrency bill that could ban all payments with digital assets in the country and virtually destroy the entire digital payments industry.

The Indian government has said that the cryptocurrency bill is likely to be delayed and discussed sometime in the foreseeable future, as regulators need to work out all the details before passing the law, U.today reported. India's prime minister's office expects to consult more broadly on the proposal before making it law in the country. Because the topic itself can be considered complicated on both the technical and social side, the current session will not be able to conclude the discussion as the decade ends. 23.
