Justin Sun moves on from Tron, network moves to full decentralization

Tron blockchain founder Justin Sun has announced that he is stepping down from his post at the Tron Foundation, which itself will soon be dissolved, Ambcrypto reports.

Sharing the news on Twitter, Sun also announced that he has been appointed ambassador for the Grenada government to the World Trade Organization in Geneva. He said he would “fight for the interests of developing countries and promote blockchain”. In an open letter distributed to the community, Sun noted that the Tron Foundation had completed its “historic mission” which was to create a “sustainable” decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and had now decided to dissolve. He wrote: “For the good of society, nothing is better than the founder of a thriving community relinquishing all power over users, assets and data”. In addition, the three supernodes “justinsuntron”, “BitTorrent” and “µTorrent” associated with it will exit the Tron technical network this month. Instead, the community will vote to elect 27 super representatives. The founder added that he“ll continue to support and encourage the development of TRON and its decentralized community”. Speaking about his new appointment, Sun said it was important for the industry to build collaborative relationships with international regulators and jurisdictions to truly achieve decentralization. He added: “Sovereign nations are the most fundamental building blocks of the global order…I believe that the World Trade Organization's recognition of the value of blockchain technology is vital to our industry”. #
