Bithumb will launch an NFT-marketplace

South Korean bitcoin exchange Bithumb will launch an NFT-marketplace in the first half of 2022 with the support of a "large company." Signal writes about it.

In an interview with the publication, the platform's CEO, Ho Baek-yang, said the move would keep its position against Korbit and Upbit. The rivals launched NFT marketplaces in June and November 2021, respectively.

Speaking to Newsway, Bithumb representatives neither confirmed nor denied rumors that the initiative is being implemented in conjunction with LG CNC, a subsidiary of LG Corporation. According to interlocutors, the firm may not be the only one with whom the platform is having a substantive dialogue.

There is no information on who is willing to work with Bithumb to create content for NFT.

Vacancies with competencies in the field of NFT the exchange posted in November.

Recall that blockchain game provider Animoca Brands and record label and production house Cube Entertainment have agreed to create a meta-universe focused on the K-pop music genre.
