Splinterlands users have bought more than 6 million NFTs from the new collection in a day

January 17 in the NFT-game Splinterlands kicked off the public sale of map sets Chaos Legion. Project representatives told ForkLog that in less than a day, users have purchased more than 6 million packs - over 40% of the total supply of 15 million.

The time is nearly upon us! The Chaos Legion General Sale is starting in only 30 minutes. We'd like to invite you to join us on @Twitch for the official launch party:#splinterlands #sps #spt #hive #PlayToEarn #GameFi https://t.co/WdxIsVexts & ; Splinterlands (@splinterlands) January 17, 2022

Kits can be purchased for in-game currency (Credits), which can be purchased for fiat (via PayPal or bank cards) or cryptocurrencies. Project DEC and SPS tokens can also be exchanged for Credits.

Each set contains five cards, with at least one of them of rare quality or higher. With a small probability the gamer can fall out a gold card, the characteristics of which are increased compared to the usual copy;

The developers have also organized a system of airdrop: players who bought packs at the presale stage will be able to get rare cards at the same time with their release. For every million packs sold, one card is distributed among users.

"Splinterlands is thrilled with the game's progress. We generated more revenue overnight than we did in 2018, 2019 and 2020 combined. The growth is just crazy. We're getting new players and new money, which allows us to expand our creative and development staff," said Splinterlands co-founder and CEO Jesse Powell.

According to DappRadar, Splinterlands is one of the most popular blockchain games. The decentralized app has processed over $3.09 million in transactions in the past 30 days and has more than 600,000 unique wallets connected to it;

As a reminder, GameFi-segment tokens showed the most impressive performance among moderately capitalized assets in 2021, according to a report by ForkLog.
