The third single miner in a month mined a block of bitcoin

On January 24, an unidentified bitcoin miner with 86 TH/s equipment capacity included a block of 720,175 in the blockchain. This was reported by CKPool administrator Con Kolivas.

Note this miner had been varying the amount of hashrate they were mining solo with, and at the time they solved it only had 8.3TH on board. & ; Dr. Con Kolivas (@ckpooldev) January 24, 2022

The miner received a protocol reward of 6.25 BTC ($213 840 at the time of writing) for mining the block.

According to Kolivas, the miner was varying the amount of processing power he was operating with. He was operating at only 8.3 TH/s when the block was found.

As a confirmation the administrator has published a screenshot of his forum post and a picture of his mini-farm.

Recall that on January 11, a lone miner with 126 TH/s equipment capacity included a block of 718,124 in the blockchain.

Two days later another user mined a block of bitcoin, although in his case the probability was 0.0001%. Both are connected to the CKPool pool.
